February 20 proclaimed Abbie Stockard Day
This week, Auburn University student Abbie Stockard made her return to Auburn for the first time since being crowned Miss America 2025 — the fourth Miss Alabama to hold the title. On the morning of Feb. 20, 2025, Auburn Mayor Ron Anders Jr. gave a proclamation at the Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center, stating that today would henceforth be known as Abbie Stockard Day.

'The Golden Years' of UPC's fall concerts: Joshua Bassett performs acoustic set
​It’s no 'secret' that Auburn University’s University Program Council goes all out for their First 56 concerts — with big names like The Driver Era, Maddie and Tae, Dayglow and The Brook & The Bluff performing in previous years. The fall concert on Saturday, Aug. 23, was no exception as Joshua Bassett made the stage at the Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center his own.
UPC brings The Driver Era to Auburn
Students filled the parking lot across from the Gogue Performing Arts Center on Aug. 24, eagerly awaiting entry to see The Driver Era. Clad in fabric skirts, denim, band tees and cowboy boots, students quickly cleared out the free tickets to the show, with UPC giving out all tickets a mere 20 mins after gates opened.

​The Sundilla Acoustic Concert Series has brought Auburn locals a variety of music genres. Ranging from folk to bluegrass, a variety of artists are able to showcase their talents to the community and share their voices.

With romance in the Auburn air as Valentine’s Day nears, it is easy for platonic relationships to be overlooked. It is in the celebration of friendship that The Collegiate Hotel, a 40-room boutique hotel in Downtown Auburn, decided to host a Galentine’s cocktail-crafting class on Feb. 13.


UPC's 169th birthday bash for Auburn University takes the cake
On Feb. 5, Auburn's University Program Council hosted a belated 169th birthday celebration for Auburn University, whose official birthday is on Feb. 1. The annual event, which was held in the Melton Student Center ballroom, began at 6 p.m. and lasted until 9 p.m.
Rushing on The Plains: Auburn University’s 2025 Bid Day
On Saturday — just two days before classes officially began at Auburn University — the excitement of this year’s rush festivities reached its much-anticipated grand finale, Bid Day. A record-breaking 2,153 potential new members (PNMs) “ran home” to one of the 18 sorority chapters associated with Auburn University’s Panhellenic Council.


Eli Manning, Bo Nix lead world-record setting event at Toomer’s Corner
At 5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8, Eli Manning took to Toomer’s Corner in Auburn with one goal in mind: to set the Guinness World Record of toilet paper thrown at Toomer’s trees. The former New York Giants and Ole Miss quarterback, who was filming an episode of his new ESPN+ show “Eli’s Places,” was joined by former Auburn quarterbacks Patrick and Bo Nix.
All good swings must come to an end: Auburn falls in historic Super Regional at Plainsman Park
Last weekend was the first time in program history that the Super Regional was held at Plainsman Park, with Tigers fans and Coastal Carolina fans alike showing up/showing out for the interesting ‘change of base’ in the postseason. On Saturday afternoon, the No. 4 Auburn Tigers suffered a disappointing 4-1 defeat at the hands of No. 13 Coastal Carolina, following a 7-6 loss to Coastal Carolina in a 10-inning game the night prior.


Auburn’s 2025 A-Day tackled a new format
A-Day has been a long-standing spring tradition upheld on The Auburn Plains. While many aspects remained the same compared to years prior, the format of the day looked a bit different.

Auburn University reports 'heavy police presence' at RBD library
At 5:07 p.m. today, Auburn University sent out an AU Alert that stated: "AU ALERT: Heavy Police presence at RBD Library. Please avoid the area." When contacted, campus security stated that the AU Alert contained everything they knew. As of 5:49 p.m., the university ruled the alert to be a false alarm in response to a possible threat on campus.

Snow sticks the landing on the Auburn Plains
At approximately 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21, Auburn had its first sighting of snow this winter. The snow began to stick to the ground, creating Alabama’s equivalent to a winter wonderland.
