Ella graduated from Auburn University in December 2025 with her bachelor's in English-literature and a minor in creative writing — a long-held dream that was first discovered in her hometown of Spanish Fort, Ala.

Ella was raised running through the stacks of her local library, collecting words and fictional worlds until she was convinced she would be the next Jo March, or Annabel Chase, or, her favorite: Nancy Drew. For proof of her dedication, simply ask her parents about the fingerprinting kits or invisible ink written on their walls. On second thought, maybe don't mention the ink.

It wasn't until a fifth grade vocabulary assignment that Ella discovered she would rather write about characters than attempt to adopt the life of one. Her teacher had asked the class to use their words of the week to compose a short story, and although Ella cannot remember many details in regard to what she wrote — excluding some bit about a car heist and junior spy — this was a moment of realization. Storytelling was her calling.

Ella's passion for sharing stories, of both the creative and journalistic variety, has only grown over the years. During her time at Auburn University, she has held five positions/internships that have fostered her love of the written word. As an intern with The Bama Buzz for over a year and a half, Ella was able to build her knowledge of WordPress as well as social media creation (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Threads and LinkedIn). While producing content for The Bama Buzz, she held simultaneous positions with The Auburn Plainsman, the university's student-run newspaper, and Auburn Advancement's Auburn Magazine, the university's alumni publication.

The Auburn Plainsman was the first to have ignited her appreciation for journalism. Ella found a home within the paper's culture section, having the opportunity to cover stories on the community around her. She was promoted to Culture Editor, where she led the section for a year, before she was selected to serve on the executive staff as Newsletter Editor.

As a Communications Intern with Auburn Magazine, Ella interviewed notable alumni, faculty and students to write stories for the website and Spring 2025 print edition. Attending check-in meetings and working on an end-of-internship project with interns from other departments bolstered her collaborative and communicative capabilities, while writing for a magazine encouraged her to embrace the creativity in journalistic writing.

For one semester, Ella had the privilege of working as an Editorial Intern for Charade Media, LLC., before it was acquired by Turner Publishing. She was able to read manuscripts and return feedback to the Managing Editor, as well as contribute to check-in meetings.

Ella additionally served as a member of Auburn's English Club during her time at the university, where she served as Vice President during her final semester.

Her poetry and artwork have also been featured in The Auburn Circle, Auburn University's literary magazine.
